MBA Interview Follow-Up

To effectively follow-up with an organization after your interview:

  • Write to/Email the person who interviewed you within 24 hours if by letter or 48 hours if by email. Try to choose the method of communication that suits the company. Therefore, use email if they have emailed you.
  • Thank them for the interview irrespective of how it went or ended.
  • Be sure to have the right name and job title.
  • Be brief and polite.
  • Do not appear ‘pushy’ or impatient.
  • Do not send multiple, identical notes. If you were interviewed by more than one person, send one to the person who was in charge.
  • If you were not rejected on the day of the interview, include that you will be happy to provide any further information that might be required.
